Aug 27 - Willow Lake (BCC)

Back at Willow Lake this morning. Would love to hike to Snake Creek Pass but with the Brighton Flea Market and part of the parking is closed, I think it would be a big mess.

So I arrive around 7:30 at the trail head. Plenty of cars parked, so lots of folks camping last night.

The sun is still rising and fighting morning clouds (possibly showers) as I start up the trail. Not much has changed from last week except there are hardly any worms on the trail today.

Asters still dominating the landscape.

Trees not yet changing colors.

I reach the meadow w/o sighting a deer or moose.

As I make my way to Willow Lake, stopping at some moose tracks rounding the lake,  I hear voices so I'm not expecting any deer or moose moving a bout. And I'm correct. Just a bunch of Mallards swimming.

And yes, I count 5 tents around the lake.

I loop the lake and just when I'm about out of the woods, it starts to rain. It's a light rain. But my pants are already soaked from the vegetation so it doesn't matter as long as I keep my keys (and camera dry).

It's a quick shower - yea!

Good hike!
